Drift Idiot brings the lawls today releasing Drift Day 11 featuring Bazookas, Bugatti’s, and Burnouts. With the help of Corey Hosford and his epic mustache, Sam Nalven gets some help and a big of practice back behind the wheel after a 7 month hiatus.
So a little over a week ago Chris Forsberg & Ryan Tuerck released a teaser video for a new mini-series on Network A called Drift Garage where they will be building a drift car for under $5,000. Well today was the first episode and I think it was pretty funny yet informative. We also get guest apperances from Tony Angelo & Panic Bear over at The Snake Pit and Nick D’Alessio over at Elite JDM. I think its an awesome start to what looks to be a very promising series filmed by the talented Drift Idiot
and promises some great drifting.
So Patrick Mordaunt posted this video on Instagram today and announced the return of his old Nissan 350z to Formula D in 2014. It looks like He will not be piloting the Apexi Lexus SC430 this upcoming year. This has to make us curious as to rather we will see the return of Ryuji Miki to Formula D US as he was seen testing in the Lexus SC430 at Texas this past year. When the SC430 was initially built it was for Ryuji in the 2010 series, but he did not return to the US series in 2011 and that is when Patrick took over piloting the car. And after 3 years he just looks to have been getting comfortable in that chassis, so lets see how comfortable he is getting back behind the turbo VQ powering the Z.
The last time we saw Chris Jeanneret was upside down in his s14 at round 7 of Formula D in 2013 at Irwindale, well today we hear a big announcement from Speed Factory Racing
out in Tacoma, WA. It looks like they have teamed up with Chris Jeanneret Racing to build a one of a kind Honda s2000 drift machine. The vehicle will be powered by a turbocharged K24 engine and estimated to put out 800hp and 700tq.
This should be an interesting build to see, there have only been two other s2000s in Formula D, and none at all since Stephan Papadakis hung up his helmet to run Tanner Foust’s program. I personally look forward to see what they have in store for the Honda lovers in the drift community.
