Odi Bakchis Gives a Sneak Peak at New 2013 Livery

Posted by: on

Odi Bakchis posted some photos on his blog and instagram earlier this week showing off some new purple and green livery for the 2013 season. Some are torn on it but I think its actually a really nice share of purple and the green plays off of it well (sorry that’s the designer in me talking). Also gives us some insight into his 2013 Sponsors as it is a known fact that Team M7 Japan dropped Odi after the 2012 season. Rather it had to due with the crash in Las Vegas where Odi totaled his previous s14 is anyone’s guess, but we do know he put in a lot of time and labor to get a new s14 built for round 7 at Irwindale.

Anyway it looks like Odi is setting up for his best season yet in 2013, being only his 3rd year in Formula D, he continues to work with Nexen Tires, Feal Suspension (of course), Sikky Manufacturing, 702 Graphics, Battle Version, Torco, Dstroyr, Clutch Masters and looks to have added Nitrous Express. So best of luck to Odi, hope to see you in Atlanta and Palm Beach!

Ryan Tuerck Moves to a FR-S For 2013

Posted by: on

So this morning renderings of a new Scion FR-S to be piloted by Ryan Tuerck in the 2013 Formula D season are circling the internet. Initial rumors had the vehicle running an LS v8 but it looks like he is keeping it classy and running a 2JZ-GTE. I will be honest I am REALLY surprised to see Tuerck moving off the Silvia chassis given his love from them but I guess the power to weight possibilities of the FR-S have bitten hard this reason in Formula D.

Looks like Tony Angelo is moving along quickly on the new FR-S

Posted by: on

The start of the 2013 Formula Drift season is approaching quickly and everything over at TAngelo Racing is shaping up nicely.

Tony picked up a salvaged FR-S that had been damaged in Hurricane Sandy late last month and took it to TAngelo Racing’s new home in Philadelphia, PA and got right to work.

They have fabricated a roll-cage, painted the interior/engine bay, and got a hydraulic e-brake set-up from ASD installed. They fitted the motor from last season’s Scion tC into the FR-S.

It’s been really cool getting to watch this build come together. Can’t wait to see the new livery for the car.

Save Danny George

Last season Formula D awarded Danny George “The Spirit of Drift Award” recognizing his love of his fans and drifting community as a whole.

Now Danny George is turning to us, his fans, whom he loves so much. This year he didn’t get enough sponsors to make the season and is asking for help from all of us. He has set up a system of donations and rewards that feature everything from sticker packs to t-shirts to a raffle for an amazing grand prize. He has even set up the ultimate reward for a drift fan- he will put donors faces on his car’s new livery.
